LAPS0082 1
Hi, I am having trouble playing some movies on my Samsung Smart TV with the Emby App TV: Samsung UE55KS7090 (2016) Emby App: 1.7.4 On my Android Smartphone App everything runs smooth and without any problems. When I start the movie on my TV it starts lagging immediatly and there are artifacts on the screen. The movie is literally unwatchable. This does only happen on some movies. See logfile... Starting at: 2024-02-11 14:16:02.355 The is no additional ffmpeg-directstream or ffmpeg-transcode log created. TV and Emby Server are on the same LAN. Both with a wired connection. Format: embyserver (1).txt
Luke 37106
HI, if you put that file on a usb stick, plug the usb stick into the TV and play from there, how does that compare?
Solution LAPS0082 1 Posted February 12 Author Solution Share Posted February 12 Hi, I think I figured this out by myself. This and all other stuttering files had many subtitle tracks. This in particular >50 Samsung TV seems to have a problem with too many subtitle tracks. I removed all subtitles except the ones I wanted. And now everything runs fine. PS: Coping the file to USB had the stuttering as well. So I think this must be a Samsung TV problem.
