Music Images - correct setting to only use embedded images?

Hi

I did search for the answer to this - so apologies if this has been answered before.

When metadata is refreshed or libraries scanned, I notice that images are imported and replace my already curated album and artist images. This is to be expected I guess if the music library settings tick the options available - Music Brainz, Fan Art etc. 

If I only want my own images preserved, would it work to untick all the options in the library set up - would that then force using of my own images I have embedded in the files?

HI, when you refresh the metadata, just don't check the box to replace existing images.

Album images just disable the image options on the library, and ensure song extract is enabled.  Sure you can disable Artist images also but then you lose all additional artist that may be linked to multi artist album/tracks.
