Folder Sync tries to convert the media

Hello,

I am trying to use Folder Sync to back up my media from Emby Debian server to Debian client ( using the app).
In download settings , I've chosen the original quality, but for some reason it keeps going  to "converting" and then tries to start transfer which takes really long time.

Any suggestions ?

Thank you.

HI, original quality and original file are two different things. If all you want to do is copy files, then make sure to select original file.

Ok, please provide details on how to achieve this.

I am trying to back up "Movies" from server  to Debian client that has USB attached HDD.

on client I have created "movies-copy" in Folder Sync

From Server I have done this  profile is set to Original.

Is there something I am missing ?

What you've got there in that screenshot will do it. Profile: Original.

I have a "Movies"  folder in library, which is mostly 1080p mkv . Not a single file.
I am trying to back up Movies folder from library to an external usb HDD on a client.

I understand, but I'm asking for one specific example so that we can find the answer for that particular file. Chances are, the answer will apply to all of them.

So please provide one specific example along with the corresponding emby server log of when that example was converted. Thanks.

Have we moved onto a different topic now? Is that not related to folder sync?

What app did you download it with? What makes you think the file is not there?

No we did not , just following your directions.
Same situation (app server, everything is as described above), instead of full library, I have added one movie to download to "movies-copy" .

I can see the file is not there on Client

OK well the server log does not contain any mention of black rain so it doesn't appear to be the right log file.

Are you sure this is the log file from when it was processed? If you're not sure, then I would do the same thing with a different file and then provide the emby server log. Thanks.
