BrettDioson 4
I have upgraded to 1.7.0.0 of Auto Organize but I can't seem to find a way to add or modify the smart matches area. I can only delete existing smart matches. Is there a way to add Smart Matches anymore to put the files in the correct show?
Luke 37096
Hi there, what exactly happens when you try?
BrettDioson 4
I go into Auto Organize and can see the log: If I click on the Ellipses on one of the log entries it doesn't give me any useful information really: Going to the Smart Matches tab gives me no options to add any new entries: Clicking the circle on one of the entries just delete it immediately. You don't even get a "Are you sure?" question, and you only know the circle deletes the entry if you hover over it and wait.
Luke 37096
Quote If I click on the Ellipses on one of the log entries it doesn't give me any useful information really: What are you expecting to see beyond what is there? It succeeded. If it had failed then there would be commands listed in that menu.
Luke 37096
Quote Going to the Smart Matches tab gives me no options to add any new entries: Did it ever have this? I don't think so. The entire smart match feature was community contributed. As far as I can remember, it's not something you add manually but rather when you organize an episode manually I think there's an option to save a smart match. The title of this topic suggested that you encountered some kind of new problem with the update but I think everything is the way it's always been. I'll try just naming the file something random that it can't match and see what pops up to add a smart match. I know I added the ones that are currently showing I just don't remember how I did it. I tried going to the help icon at the top but the link it send you to goes to some updated knowledge base link but I can't find documentation on Auto Organize:
Luke 37096
Right I think that was a placeholder and a document has never been created for it. Thanks.
phi303 11
BrettDioson: I can add a smart match if the show "isn't recognized", it'll give me an error saying the series is not recognized. Then I can hit the ellipsis and then choose "organize" - otherwise, if it knows, it just gives me the same-singular-option you have. For me, now, a ton of series is no longer recognized. I'm not sure what it is, maybe it's limited to periods in place of space, maybe it's not. It used to be perfectly fine but now I have to go in and create a smart match for nearly every single series. For example, this used to work fine but now I have to create a smart match: Clearly, it's setup to recognize periods but it doesn't seem to work There's no rhyme or reason. While the above needs a new smart match, this one seems to have worked perfectly fine: but for some reason this one needs a smart match: I have no idea why, it worked perfectly fine before the update. Here's a VERY recent example of something that used to work and now doesnt: you can see how it doesn't recognize the series and if i hit the ellipsis, "organize" is now an option, if I click that, it'll then allow me to create a new smart match. The thing is, I shouldn't have to do this because it used to work w/o a smart match, the rules are clearly setup but for some reason or another it doesn't - it's the damnedest thing. and for posterity's sake, this is what I get when I click on "View Error Information" and clearly it was working just fine before: n not sure what gives but I hope I've been clear enough that a dev might be able to know what's going on Edited February 6 by phi303

I'm in exactly the same position since the 4.8.0.80 update (on Win10). I get this same error for series which should be easily identifiable and were previously recognised. I'm also having to create smart matches for many shows that shouldn't need them, other examples in my case include 'Murdoch.Mysteries.SnnEnn.xxxx' or 'Solar.Opposites.SnnEnn.xxxx'. Luke 37096
Hi, please try the Auto-Organize 1.7.2 update and see if the search is more accurate. Thanks.
Olywa123 46
Thanks @Luke For me at least Auto-Organize 1.7.2 seems to do the trick. Episodes that were failing to match since 4.8.0.80 are now getting organised successfully. Much appreciated.
phi303 11
yes, i think maybe it's fixed - i'll have to test again at the end of the week. I've deleted the newer smart matches, we'll see if i still need them but so far with other shows it seems to be back in business! thanks luke!
