All my previous added content before 4.8 now reports as just "4K HEVC".  Plays back on my Roku TVs running Emby 4.1.3 in HDR 10 with no problems.

New content added after the update to 4.8 reports as "HDR10 HEVC" and now shows as VideoRangeNotSupported and Hardware Transcodes and Tone maps to H.264

As a test, I cut a movie outside its folder and moved it back inside. I did a library scan between moves. After the file was moved back in, it now reports as HDR10 and now its transcoded on the Roku TV that supports HDR10 playback... So maybe the problem is with the Roku software on the TV?

Apologies. You are correct. We will be updating the Roku application to address this exact issue. There will also be improvements in how it will handle the HDR layer within DolbyVision. You will be able to play it directly now and pass the HDR layer of DolbyVision onto non DolbyVision TV's.
