Why not?  If I need to bounce Emby or the box, I need to know if there are ANY active recordings.

Have you added Active Recordings to your home screen items?

I just did, though movies always showed up anyways.  We'll see if this works for TV shows.  I still don't understand why TV shows are an exception.

Well, that was a no-go.  TV show recordings don't show in "Active Recordings".

That's strange as it works for me. Which Next Up option are you using?

Here's how I have it configured:

And I see this on the home page:

Ideally, your active recordings will appear like above. However, there are times when they, for reasons I don’t understand, do not. In my experience this can happen for movies, sports, or tv shows. If they are being recorded and do not show in active recordings I go to the recordings folder and they do show up there with the typical red dot 🔴 indicating it is in fact being recorded. A majority of time active recordings do show up as they’re supposed to, in my experience.

Well, the dashboard did show a recording just now.  It was for a brand new episode.  Yesterday I was recording an episode (different series) that I already had.  I hope that is not supposed to make a diff.  I'll see if that behavior repeats tomorrow.

What folder is this, how do I get to it?

Okay, it looks like Emby discriminates against duplicate episodes.

@Lukecan you consider changing this logic?  Recording is recording.

Also, maybe it would be good to show active recordings on the TV Schedule page - very logical.

Can you please describe what you mean by this? Thanks.

In other words, recording an episode that I already have is different than an episode that I don't already have - it is not shown as being recorded.

Duh.  It already does this - I forgot about that.  Well, it doesn't show the duplicate recordings ...  😆

Luke, your lack of words and abundance of 'thanks' has me wondering ... what are you thinking?

I didn't know that it was possible to display that in the home screen. Thanks. It's better than needing to go to the dashboard to see what is recording. Nice feature.

@LukeDo you have the problem of not showing recordings when the same title exists on your backlog?

Yes but I think it's actually something else.
