BeShakz 0
Vielen Dank
Luke 37110
Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!
BeShakz 0
Hi Luke, thanks for your reply. Here are the further informations: Describe the problem in your own words, including what you're trying to accomplish, and where you're getting stuck. Make sure to indicate which Emby App you're using. If you're using a browser, then please indicate what browser you're using. When playing a Movie through Chrome/Firefox or Safari browser the picture looks washed out and grey in comparison to the original file. Transcoding with hardware is enabled and working (GPU Statistics). If I try it on the Amazon FireTV Stick its the same issue. HDR Compression is enabled in emby settings. The two pictures are attached. If you saw error messages, please tell us what they were. If the problem is difficult to explain, please include screenshots that demonstrate the issue. No error messages Please attach the server log from the time frame the activity occurred. See the section below titled Emby Server Logs. Please supply the full and complete log file, and avoid attempting to extract relevant sections. Everything is relevant to us. If a server transcoding log (ffmpeg log) was also generated during playback (in the server logs folder), please attach that as well. Attached If you are using the Roku or Android TV specific app, please also follow the instructions below to send a log from the app. Yes, I´m using the Amazon FireTV stick but since the same issue occur when using a browser, I don´t need to attached those files yet. Luke 37110
Hi, did you enable tone mapping in server transcoding settings?
BeShakz 0
You mean in the emby setting? These are the settings I enabled:
Luke 37110
HI, are you able to try the 4.8 beta server and see how that compares?
BeShakz 0
How can I change the version? I´m using Unraid
serpi 72
BeShakz 0
@LukeHow do I change the version so I can test the beta? Currently I´m running emby on unraid.
BeShakz 0
Ok so transcoding and tone mapping is now working with the beta version but not through the GPU. It seems like its just with the CPU. I have attached some screenshots and log files. If anyone can help here it would be awesome since I don´t know what to do next.. ffmpeg-remux-ec188714-d065-41a5-b393-160407342a07_1.txt ffmpeg-remux-0711d6d2-0cce-4329-8ba2-4ad7b4022581_1.txt ffmpeg-transcode-f58369de-832b-4a0d-93bd-e66dd29d680f_1.txt embyserver (1).txt
Luke 37110
Hi, @softworkzis looking into this. Thanks.
softworkz 3340
@BeShakz- You have an AMD Radeon Graphics and there's no hardware tone mapping support for AMD GPUs. You can get software tone mapping, but it was disabled in the ffmpeg-transcode-f58.. log.
