Hi guys,

I am a bit confused: Is the bitrate shown in the video stream the overall bitrate or the specific bitrate of the video stream?

Only video stream bitrate.

Nope. It's the overall bitrate.

That's what I thought then I saw the same as viking19 and got confused.

Yep as above - Emby incorrectly shows the 'overall' bitrate under the 'Video' heading ... :(

In an example that uses the mediaInfo plugin - we correctly get the bitrate according to the stream.   In the case of adding the video and ALL the audio streams together - this then comes to the reported ~81Mbit/sec which emby thinks it is ...

It should say 70.1 mbps, not 81 mps ... :(

@LukeI think we agree this is confusing and needs fixing, right?

It is the bitrate from the stream, however in some cases ffprobe doesn't report a bitrate for a video stream, and in that situation we take the value from the container.
