neik 870 Posted January 17, 2024 Posted January 17, 2024 Hi guys, I am a bit confused: Is the bitrate shown in the video stream the overall bitrate or the specific bitrate of the video stream?

rbjtech 4996 Posted January 18, 2024 Posted January 18, 2024 (edited) Yep as above - Emby incorrectly shows the 'overall' bitrate under the 'Video' heading ... In an example that uses the mediaInfo plugin - we correctly get the bitrate according to the stream. In the case of adding the video and ALL the audio streams together - this then comes to the reported ~81Mbit/sec which emby thinks it is ... It should say 70.1 mbps, not 81 mps ... neik 870 Posted January 19, 2024 Author Posted January 19, 2024 @LukeI think we agree this is confusing and needs fixing, right?
Luke 40079 Posted January 19, 2024 Posted January 19, 2024 It is the bitrate from the stream, however in some cases ffprobe doesn't report a bitrate for a video stream, and in that situation we take the value from the container.
