1971camaroguy 24
I have some dvd's that aren't available on any other medium that I rip and watch through emby on an nvidia shield I purchased a dvd of Sri Ashish online, never heard of it and seemed interesting, (indonesian Superhero Movie) Rip it with makemkv and dropped it on the movie folder. I started watching it and it was stuttering every 5-10 seconds, pretty annoying. I started messing with frame rates and figured out the frame rate of the rip was 29.97 frame rate. I re-encoded it in 23.976 frame rate and started the movie again and fixed it, no stuttering. I've noticed this a lot on DVD's, would I need to go back into my movies and re-encode them? Or am I missing a setting in emby? Thanks again!
GrimReaper 3305
Are you using AndroidTV app or sideloaded standard Android app on your Shield? EIther way, under app settings>Playback tab>Tick "Enable display refresh rate switching", see how does it compare.
