Alexa - prefer closer match (on play song by artist)

its great that you can spell out difficult titles B R O S. Emby returned a set of songs which i could next through and the 'correct' track was 2nd  but i think bros by wolf alice should have been considered the closer match.

or to put it another way.. 

if an exact match on song title isnt found then an exact match on artist should be preferred. (or at least carry a weight)

Hi, ultimately this funnels into the same search methods as the search UI in the web app. What do you get when entering these things there?

it seems it does. The skill supports "song by Artist" so perhaps this request pertains to emby search then (which doesnt currently support search "song by artist" in webui)..

either way, with such a limited ui in Alexa...media selection needs to be [more] bulletproof to be useful....IMO.

oh it works sometimes.........

i think i may be onto something....

 

when artist is taken into account..you see why it works..

emby includes the artist term when i include a device "play song BROS by wolf alice on Emby theatre" (but  on both occassions alexa history shows alexa heard "by artist Wolf Alice")
