I'm running Emby  Version 4.7.14.0 with an HDHomeRun version 20231214.

When I try to watch any live TV it just circles and faults with "Can not tune to this channel at this time "

Bob, I'm pretty sure if you are viewing TV in a browser that the server will have to transcode.  Is your server able to transcode fast enough (for a 720 or 1080 broadcast)?  Be sure to include any ffmpeg log file.

Also, have you confirmed the HDHomeRun will stream that channel outside of Emby, e.g., via the HDHR TV app?

I'm trying to watch TV on a 47in LG tv using an Amazon 4K one year old fire stick. I was able to watch live TV until two days ago. I'm able to watch TV on plex and the HDHomeRun app without issue.. The server is running Linux Mint, 32gb and an Nvidia 4060 graphics card.

I recreated the error at 9:50 EST this morning. Attached is the log from that time..

Luke: I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. "Emby for the Fire TV" so I know I've got the latest version. I could not find the debug option on the settings page..

Thanks

Bob

Have you bounced the server machine recently?

I'm having trouble making sense of the log, but you have a lot of errors with some around the port mapper.  I don't know if that is built-in or a plugin.

Is your HDHR on 192.168.1.135?

Have you tried removing then adding back the HDHR in the admin UI?

It looks to like me Emby is waiting on the tuner to respond but it never does (like it can't make a network connection for whatever reason).

Hi.  This is a good question.  Your symptoms sound a lot like maybe the IP address of your tuner changed.

To confirm the address question I ran advanced IP Scanner

And what did you learn from that?

Can you try rebooting the HDHR, then once it's back up, then refresh the guide data in emby server. Please see if that helps.

Tried it.. No luck..

The HDHR works with their app and plex. Trying to eliminate all the possibilities..

Can you please attach the emby server log from when you did that? Thanks.

Hi.  It looks like your server cannot access the location for your transcoding temporary files.

System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path '/config/transcoding-temp/880650c589ac4ddd9839fb1cc709edcc.ts' is denied.
	 ---> System.IO.IOException: Permission denied

Or perhaps it can access it but is being denied write access. Either way, if you can resolve that then you'll probably be good to go.
