Hi there

I've re-installed recently win 8.1   WMC and obviously MB3 Server, Classic, theater and the newly store app (BINGO!)

Now when i play a DVD rip with MB3 Classic, it crashes after few seconds and if I try to reload the same movies it does'nt start at all

In the attached file U can check the log

The crash happens just at the end of the file, around 19:50

Can U give me some support please?

Thank U in advance

Can you specifically define "it crashes"?  What, exactly, happens?

In that log, it looks like you played something and then stopped it.  There are no errors reported on our end.

If you are getting an "invalid application" error, then we'll need the Windows Event log error.

Follow link in my signature. But if you are not getting invalid application popup you wont need the event log.

Try disabling the custom player in the mbc config inside mbc itself, think its under playback and see if that changes anything.

Also what container is the rip in? Iso or videoTS folder?

Do you have codecs installed other than the ones MBT forces you to install.

Can you play non ripped media files?

Are you using a remote to start the playback or clicking on the play button?

Problem Solved.

I' ve found the solution on another forumUnticked "Allow application to take exclusive control of this device" checkbox in audio driver settings.

here the complete link

maybe it helps other than me

Nice!! I was leaning towards codecs and a remote repeater issue, but glad you found a solution and for sharing!
