Sharing Individual Files

Hello Emby World!

I haven't been able to find anything in the forums about this topic but please redirect me if I am wrong...

Is sharing between users restricted to the Library level only?  I wanted to select individual albums, movies, etc from multiple libraries to share with a certain user.  Can this be done or am I just out of luck?  I have currently set up a mixed content library to dump all of the files that I want to share with this minor user but I would rather not have duplicate files in different libraries on my server.

I would like to share some of my albums and movies with my niece. She is a minor so I don't want to give her access to the entire library.

By share do you just mean grant access in Emby ?

Oh, yes.  I just want to grant access to files in my server, not the ability to download.

You can control if the user should be able to download or not, when creating the user

OK there is no individual per-item access control at this stage.

What you could do is give access to complete libraries but then combine that with restrictions by tags to only allow access to items that have been given a tag of your choice.

Just an FYI that I would pay for a premium version that offered per-item access control.
