heciruam 23
Hello everyone, I would like to be able to display two subtitle tracks at the same time. There are browser extensions that do this for Netflix but I would like to have this feature in Emby. Having the option to choose a secondary subtitle track would be great. I watch a lot of media for language learning. For me this would be very useful. Let's see how popular this feature request will get or how hard it would be to implement. Cheers! Luke 37106
Hi, yes I feel like this has come up once or twice over the years. I think the video player isn't so much the problem. The problem is that our api's, internal objects, etc are all based on a single selected track. So that's the primary hurdle, all of the plumbing that would be required to uproot that. heciruam 23
Would this be problematic for all apps or would it be easier to implement in the web app for example?
Luke 37106
I would guess most video players could do it, but the issue is we wouldn't go halfway so that means in order to get this feature we'd have to do all of that internal tearing apart first.
