Subtitles not using the space below cropped video

Hello,

With a video cropped in a format that is not 16:9, the subtitles will be displayed above the bottom of the video. The result looks weird.

Can we have an option to use the space below the video instead?

Here's an example with a 1836x720 video.

And one from Plex which uses the space below the video, outside of the actual video

While playing the video in emby have you tried clicking on the Subtitle button and going to the "position" option and changing it?  If you want to move it down hit the minus sign.  Try this and see if it solves your issue.

That does help indeed. It was at 10%, now 0%. But it's definitely not on the edge of the screen.

HI, what Emby app is that screenshot from?

Hi Luke, that's from the web app. Same thing on the Android TV app.

When you configure the bottom position to 0, the web app still applies a small cushion. We can look at removing that if you really want it at the bottom.

However the amount that it adds is not as much as your screenshot shows. Are you sure you configured the position?
