MacGyver1982 1
I have a Fire TV stick 4K Max and whenever I start playing media it can take a minute or two before it plays. It might load and display the first few frames but then freezes for a while. Sometimes it starts playing and other times it doesn't. I am often unable to resume and have to start from the beginning and fast forward also. Speedtest on the Fire TV returns 200Mbps. My internet is 400/400. iMac, iPhone and Web app on the iMac on the same WiFi in the same room start playing the content immediately. I am really after some help on how to diagnose the issue. ebr 14927
Hi. There was almost nothing in your app log. Did you send it right after the problem occurred? Also, is this accessing your own server or someone else's? Remote or local?
MacGyver1982 1
Hmmm Yes, tried to play media, it just hangs with spinning blue circle, went back immediately sent log. This is playing from someone else’s remote server ,which I have just checked, was down! I will keep trying to capture a log. False alarm this time. MacGyver1982 1
No, on other occasions I am able to play with other devices no problem (when the server is up). So it’s something to do with the fire tv. I will keep monitoring and send another log next time it refuses to play.
