LittleWizard 28
I have a very big problem. If I record a long event (for example a F1 race) and I start watching it while still in recording, I can't seek. Total runtime is an absurd negative number. This is a huge problem for me. With Tvheadend I din't have this problem... Maybe the only workaround is to create a copy of the already recorded file, but not very pratical. I didn't try beta server (I'm on latest stable). Use Emby server on Synology and Client on android.
Luke 37094
Spoiler Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!
LittleWizard 28
Step to reproduce it: Star a recording in live tv. Wait for example 15min, star playing the recording while in progress, try to seek. I'll look into the log and I'll attach it...

LittleWizard 28
Here it is. Fo example at about line 1528 (2023-11-19 15:35:24) I: - Stopped live TV of Channel TV8 - (I think line 1554) Started to play the recording still in progress of the same channel "F1 Gara GP Las Vegas (Diretta) 2023_11_19_14_00_00" - Tried to seek with no success (also total time at the end of seek bar was a strange number like -xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx:xx:xx Then I stopped it and: - Started to play the live channel again (not the recording) - Pressed PAUSE to to Timeshift - Waited about 30sec - TRied to seek in timeshift and also to return to live with no success (to return to live I had to press stop and restart the channel again) embyserver (2023.11.19).txt
ebr 14921
Hi. Please post the ffmpeg log(s) too. Thanks.
LittleWizard 28
I have done the steps to reproduce the problem, but when I go in Logs, I only have server log with actual date. FFmpeg logs (remux and transcode) are of yesterday. Maybe no remux is done? Maybe this is the reason why I can't seek? I attach screenshot of strange timecode. LittleWizard 28
Also, playing an already ended recording I have several issues in time seeking. Sometimes does work, but frequently it only seek lot of minutes ahead, if I try seeking few minutes, most of the time it jump back like there are key points where it can seek to. I know that it can happen with TS files when there are corruptions maybe due to imperfect TV signal, but with TVheadend and other similar app I had no issues in seeking TS files and also seeking still in progress recording. There must be a way to do it, I think (I don't know exactly how anyway). Don't know if maybe new server version will fix this, as soon as it will exit from beta I'll try it!
