ados8000 8
I've been having this issue for some time now. I've only noticed it with the Samsung TV family member. Globally all users are locked to 4 Mbps and even in their respective accounts. How is it this user sometimes defaults to direct playback. I can't even stop the stream! GrimReaper 3326
Without logs from the time of occurence, it would be anyone's guess. Is that remote IP you've masked? Do you have RP in front of your Emby server so it's local address is actually been passed? Anyway, those are just assumptions, as said, logs would be needed. ados8000 8
I don't have debugging enabled but I can send sanitised logs for standard logging. External IPs and names are masked.
ados8000 8
@GrimReaperHere are logs for the problem user. Please let me know if you see any personal identifiable information and I will further sanitise. Emby_Logs.txt
GrimReaper 3326
I would assume Dev would prefer complete log as few more entries before your snippet starts would be required; if you have privacy concerns, you can PM the log to him. Luke 37180
Hi, yes please provide the complete log but the most likely answer is that your network setup and/or network settings are such that the server can’t accurately distinguish a remote connection from a local one. ados8000 8
Possibly, I can see the IP is external but have made changes to the proxy so will see how that goes.

ados8000 8
Have another case of a TV which is bypassing the bitrate limits. What is the point if devices will randomly override the limits. You can see they are using direct play at 16 mbps yet their account cannot do more than 2 mbps This happens with multiple devices and users at random. It's not a problem with IP detection as my proxy is configured to correctly forward the IP as it shows clearly an external IP. Luke 37180
@ados8000this is a large log containing many playback sessions, which makes it a little hard to sort through. What time was the above example of beauty and the beast?
ados8000 8
@Lukeit was at the end of the log . I've cut it down and sanitised it. Even though I have sanitised logs enabled Emby did not do it and I didn't check. Please delete the former log file ASAP as I cannot. embyserver.txt

Luke 37180
Why do you think Emby didn't sanitize the log? Anyway, for the example at the top of this log file, the bitrate limit was respected as far as I can tell.
ados8000 8
Because I had to request GrimReaper delete most of my past log uploads as my domain.com address was still in the logs. But you can see the bitrate is being exceeded at least by the GUI. Are you saying this is a glitch whereby the UI is displaying incorrect information or the logs are incorrect. Something isn't matching, what's the next step.

ados8000 8
Sweet, thanks Luke. Silver lining is that it's a false positive. Will see if it happens after the new update.
