VicMoore 558
In LiveTV you install a TV Source and a TV Guide. I assume that the TV Guide populates the EPG. For example, if you are using XMLTV for your guide data, that data would fill out the EPG. When a user clicks on an item in the EPG, the info (from the tv guide data) for that item is given to the proper TV Source which in turn uses that data to serve the requested content to the device that clicked on the EPG. In other words, the TV Source must wait to be told what to do by a click on the desired media in the EPG. Is this correct? Is there something that I can read that reveals the responsibilities and core architecture of a TV Source? I appreciate your help, vic
ebr 14913
A TV source provides channels - meaning streams of content that can be played. The guide provides data about what is on each of those channels at any specific time.
