Viewing a movie or...: found difference between EmbyWeb and WMC gui

As longterm user of EmbyWeb (and Emby plugin MCE), I found a significant difference with WMC gui version:

  • Looking at (for example) a movie within EmbyWeb or MCE with EMBY plugin and using the back button (<--) stops the movie playing and you will eventually end in the main menu of Emby or MCE
  • Doing the same in WMC gui, the movie will continue to play, you have to stop it (or not) as an extra action....

I'm not sure what is the best, but I'm sure its a reproducible difference...(to keep it simple, I think stopping the movie, makes it easier.....isn't it ?, or is it a (new) feature ?)

Thanx. Peter

This is the original behavior of Windows Media Center.

The video continues playing, and:

  • In the guide it is visible in the background
  • In gallery views it is shown as thumb at the bottom left
  • In the home view it is shown as a menu tile

If it appears odd to you, then it's maybe because you are not using a remote control, in case of which it makes more sense...

Thanks for the good explanation: its clear and it is probably something to get used on: nice to see that you follow the MCE behaviour as good as possible !

Thnx. Peter
