Emby Theater Debian 12, driver load error. with solution!

Hi @Luke,

 

After .deb installation. Emby Theater cant play hevc and transcode error. 

Why?: No found the ATI driver and Mesa-Loader!  here Pic with error:

Solution:

 

Your start script (/usr/bin/emby-theater) don't use a Absolute path for ldconfig! here the Pic:

I change it to this:

 

image1.png.0d6e7cf867211bcdd2b6a8415eacf0f1.png

 

 

and all is working correct.

 

Please fix it for other Users!

It does not use an absolute path to be compatible with all distros out there, unfortunately not every debian-based distro puts ldconfig in /usr/sbin, and the fact that Debian 12 does not put /usr/sbin in PATH is simply beyond me (it's so ridiculous even that there's probably something else going on, you can't not put /usr/sbin in PATH). In any case I will have to make an exception to look in PATH first, then fallback to /usr/sbin/ldconfig.

Cool....man could also include a "whereis" instead of the exception.... so the distro does not matter

Thanks man, that helped me! I'm using MX Linux 23.2 based on Debian 12.5 and after editing, I can finally use the Emby Theater application
