michaeltruncale 5
Is there a maximum media file size that can be streamed? The reason for the question, I have a few 8GB plus movie files and when I stream them to a ChromeCast device the movie intermittently pauses. My network is a an 802.11n setup and the server has 8GB of ram. If I upgrade my network to an 802.11ac network I don't feel it'll work any better cause ChromeCast isn't 802.11ac compatible. So I'm thinking either the ram in the server needs to be increased or I need to sample my Blu Rays to produce a smaller file size. Any guidelines or standards? Thanks! Luke 37118
You probably want to just start from the beginning and provide more information on the problem http://mediabrowser.tv/community/index.php?/topic/790-how-to-report-a-problem/ Chances are server ram won't have much to do with it. Luke 37118
To play, no, because we have tools to convert on the fly if we need to.
