skank 82 Posted October 21, 2023 Share Posted October 21, 2023 Hi, I have my unraid server on unraid, and the client on kodi Been using this for years without problems Now suddenly i have problems this week (nothing changed) In kodi i get warnings about "connection to websocket lost" I edited the settings in the addon and disabled it. skank 82 Posted October 30, 2023 Author Share Posted October 30, 2023 Dont look further yet, for now Cause i found out that one of my server disks has an error, so i have to replace it first, probably the reason why.... Although theres another movie just crashing which is on other disk but doesnt have a problem. But first things first, let me fix my first disk. So emby server is on my unraid machine, emby client is on google home device. Sometimes i just cant connect, and then one minute later i can connect, then a second later, i cant click "movies" and it seems i cant connect again... Please attach both the corresponding emby server and kodi logs from when you experienced a problem. skank 82 Posted November 18, 2023 Author Share Posted November 18, 2023 Ok I bought a new server so i can exclude that already (new mobo, new ram, new cpu) On the kodi machine (osmc with emby for kodi) i got connection web socket lost again I did a clean install of kodi on it, and now waiting to install latest kodi for kodi next gen install and see if it still occurs See If it still occurs, im totally lost and gonna post the logs u need Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Theres a popup showing every x second saying web socket connection lost... Did you have time to look at my posted logs? I inspected something more yesterday evening.. In my unifi setup, there were 3 devices with the same ip as the unraid (emby server) machine. Also my daughter had wifi problems latest months... When i looked at the 3 devices, there was my old unraid machine , my new unraid machine (with my daughters smarphone name, very strange) and my daughters smartphone. So i think those 2 (new machine and smartphone daughter) were picking eachothers ip adres.. Maybe thats the cause of the problems my daughter had, and i had with emby We'll see Cause i now put a fixed ip to the unraid machine inside unifi (although the machine itself had a fixed ip in the settings of unraid) We'll see, i'm kinda hopefull now Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
