karbo 0
Hi, I'm running Emby (4.7.14.0) on a Synology NAS (7.2.1) and it occures that Emby is sending a lot of attemps to connect my Windows PC (and perhaps other members of my LAN). I use Emby only in my local network so I didn't set up a remote connection. I'm shure the UPnP stuff is generated by Emby because after stop the Emby server, there are nog UPnP connection attemps anymore. I can't find where to disable the UPnP in Emby. Perhaps somewhere under water? I've added my server log in the attachement. If more info is needed, please let me know. PS. perhaps handy for the log reading: The IP-adresses are NAS 192.168.1.7 and PC 192.168.1.3 embyserver-63831769044.txt
Q-Droid 652
Do you mean DLNA or the Port Mapper? Both are plugins and can be uninstalled if you don't use them.
karbo 0
Well, these plugins are at the present not installed. Port mapper I had, but I removed it a while ago.
Solution Q-Droid 652 Posted October 1, 2023 Solution Share Posted October 1, 2023 Then which UPnP connections are you talking about? I don't see anything in the log. I think the Emby server does broadcast its presence so that apps can find and identify the server but unless you have DLNA enabled it shouldn't have more chatter than the broadcasts. karbo 0
Aha, well if that's how it works that's OK. Thank you for your answer, it makes things clear to me. I can just ignore these events.
