paulsalvate 1
When I do a new install of Emby on synology NAS drive and try to open Emby from package center it opens a new chrome browser window with the message "forbidden". Same problem using edge browser. Both browsers report that the connection is insecure in the URL panel. I tried a manual install by downloading the emby-server-synology72_4.8.0.46_armv8.spk directly from Emby. No luck when I try to put in my server url it can not connect to it. paulsalvate 1
I typed :" http://ip:8096" chrome The browser briefly flashed with something about the site being insecure and changed immediately to the following information in the browser window. "This site can’t be reached Check if there is a typo in ip. If spelling is correct, try running Windows Network Diagnostics. DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN"
paulsalvate 1
I just noticed that after I do this the Synology Emby version reports that it has been manually stopped. I had stated it in DSM before doing above and trying to run it from the package center in synology. I don't know if this is significant.
Kachelkaiser 4
Did you replaced "ip" with the IP-address of your Synology? example Your Synology has 192.168.1.2 then you have to enter http://192.168.1.2:8096 in the addrssbar of your browser. paulsalvate 1
I know about the proceed anyway but I don't see that option in chrome anymore. There is a circle with a small i just to left of the url. Clicking that opens a pop-up with the security warning warning, some options to change site settings and maybe passwords in Chrome but no proceed anyway option I can see. I also tried using Edge with the same problems.

paulsalvate 1
I am using Chrome: Version 117.0.5938.89 (Official Build) (64-bit) I attach a copy of the browser window showing the inability to connect to Emby via the Emby package installed in my Synology NAS running DSM7. As you can see there is no option to "Proceed anyway".

Luke 37092
Anyway I think that might be different. That's not a question of https it looks more like the browser just can't reach that address. Are you sure that's the right IP address? What if you just enter http://ip:port ?
