Latest Fire TV release returns wrong play state via ADB

So for quite some time I have used Emby on my Amazon Fire Stick and it has been working perfectly.

I use an ADB integration (In home assistant) to determine the play state of my Fire TV and control things like lights etc. based on the play state. I have noticed that since the last release there seems to have been some wires crossed, i.e. when playing, it reports as paused and visa verse (via  ADB). All the other apps on my FireTV (Netflix, twitch..etc) return the correct play state still. Not sure what to do here as this use to report the correct state. Any advice?

Thanks @Lukethat worked and behaved as expected. Let me know if you need any more dets to debug what's happening with the FireTV version.
