butthurtz 3
My FreeIPA LDAP server plays nice with other services like Opnsese, Portainer, etc. However, when I try to log in to Emby, I receive an error notice about my username and password being invalid. here's the screenshot of LDAP Plugin Setting

Solution butthurtz 3 Posted September 8, 2023 Author Solution Share Posted September 8, 2023 (edited) Okay, I figured out the answer to my own question. The log file states that "Emby Premiere is required for LDAP." Seriously, though? Given that I recently switched from Jellyfin, therefore I'd only be willing to pay to support the development if I could be certain that it will work with my LDAP server. ebr 14921
Hi. We work very hard to develop, maintain and support the entire Emby ecosystem. More information on what is free vs not can be found here: Emby Premiere Feature Matrix Thanks for your support.
butthurtz 3
I appreciate you directing my attention to the matrix chart; it's very helpful. I bit the bullet and purchased a monthly subscription, and I'm happy to report that it's performing admirably. A feature that I would want to see in LDAP is selective permission control. Rather than using the global permission, I would prefer to use a group filter for users and admin.
