I've recently installed but the local address is missing hence I am unable to use the service. Ive tried the available troubleshooting steps on website and community but not helping. Ive tried creating port 80 as well.

I have not seen this but if you can get to that computer on your local network then you should be able to access the server simply by using the ip address and port number. Something like (the numbers were changed to protect the innocent)
http://19x.168.x.1xx:8xxx
Where the first set of numbers is the ip address and the second (starting with the 8 ) is the port number being used.

Just as a point of info I do not even look at the "local" field when I set up a server I just use ip+port to access the server from anywhere on my LAN.

I am on my server PC itself and the Local Access address is missing from the dashboard. Not only that, I am not even able to access with Emby Connect using my email address. The Server connection fails everytime.

Hi, what is the network setup? Is the server machine connected to a router?

Your address is showing as 192.168.1.42:8096.

Do you have any virtual adapters? Are you using VPN? What does typing ipconfig in cmd tell you?

Does your server machine haves static or DHCP address? If you bind it to 192.168.1.42 in Settings>Network>"Local IP address" field, does it work as expected?

(1) Check that your Windows networking is set to "Private"

(2) On the Network page of the dashboard, type the machine's local address in the first field.

Hi.  Have you checked to see if there is something (like a space) entered in this field?

@akarshjaiswal

In the field shown above in ebr's post have you set this to 192.168.1.42 then restarted Emby Server?

@GrimReaperalso asked you some very valid questions above that we need answers to if you are still having an issue.

Forget about Emby Connect for right now as we want to keep diagnosing the issue as simple as possible.
