LG C2 plays wrong audio channels.

I've got a Samsung HW-Q960A soundbar setup.

Side speaker audio is played on the rear speakers. This is extremely wrong. Windows plays them correctly. YouTube app on the TV plays them correctly. EVERYTHING else plays them correctly, except Emby, which plays side speaker output on rears.

I used this to test Windows VS Emby: Downloads Page - Demolandia

OK so you're playing the truehd track. As a test, if you select one of the ac3 tracks, how does that compare?

Ah, the EAC 7.1 track plays it correctly.

But it's not a track issue though, since the TrueHD 7.1 track plays correctly in Windows.

Curious, does it direct play, or remux through the server?

TrueHD remuxes, EAC does not. There is no option to pick Direct for TrueHD.

ffmpeg does not support 7.1 remuxing - thus it converts the 7.1 THD to 5.1 AC3/EAC3 - thus playing from your rears.

The direct play 7.1 (EAC3) will use the sides - as would Emby if playing THD 7.1 (with no ffmpeg) via an AVR.
