bmflagg 10 Posted August 18, 2023 Share Posted August 18, 2023 I download the samsung tizen emby and install via USB. After a while.. month or so I keep getting a expiration notice.. Is this normal now for USB installs for newer Samsung TV's? BTW the pictures orientation seems to work now, thank you!! Videos, most of the time, are sideways... bmflagg 10 Posted August 18, 2023 Author Share Posted August 18, 2023 Hi Luke, Been quite some time..... 1.6.0 on samsung now (just reinstalled on both my newer tv's due to the expiration notices) and 4.7.13.0 on my Synology NAS... This is normal for the USB version as Samsung only allow the usb beta versions to be published for about a month, so every month we need to publish a new version. What country are you in and what model is your TV? For newer models, once the store version is published in the future (a slow and time consuming process with Samsung) then you won’t have this problem, but updates also won’t be as frequent via the store.
