The generation of WebP-Images feels really useless, while it will be placed additionally to the jpegs.

Or what is the real benefit?

Faster loading pages: not worth while we have alway same users who have cached images.

please add an option to disable this generation to save CPU and storage.

I think (s)he is talking about metadataapi.net aka ThePornDB ... They provide a metadata plugin for their DB and all poster images are WebP ...

No 🙂 That is no thing I'm using or having.

I mean the automatic generation of webp image when a user accesses the web-interface. Wasn't it emby doing so? I'm sorry, will validate it again in the next days 🙈
