Does anyone have Emby working on a newer LG TV?

Based on a lot of (dead end) threads here, I'm just wondering if anyone has gotten Emby working on newer LG TVs. Say released within the last year?

We have one LG tv and it has newer worked. We get the "no compatible streams" error on all playback, no matter what configs we try. All other 50ish devices have no problems (no unresolved problems. Have had some problems on the Google Chromecast 4k TV, but they seem to be primarily fixed).

I'd create a vote here if that was possible, but please respond so we can try to figure out what the problem can be.

Ps. Emby works in the browser on our TV.

Do you have any logfiles?  If you are using https to connect to the server, can you please try http with port 8096 (make sure you server can accept insecure connections and any port forwarding is set correctly)

I've sent logfiles to @Luketo no avail. I have not allowed insecure connections as I'm only allowing secure connections through a reverse proxy (from https to http). No other devices have any problems accessing this server.

Do you have newer model LG TV that works with Emby?

I have a 2022 model that works fine, but I am using a local connection - not remote and I am not using secure connections locally on the TV.  Make sure you have the latest firmware installed.  Make sure when you setup the server connection on the tv you add https to the start of the server name and use the correct secure port

Can you disable secure connection for a short test?

What model is your TV?  You can send me the logs via PM if you want

The last five/six posts have information from me and another forum member.

I'll try to find the latest logs and PM you. Thanks!

Could you try to enforce secure connections on your LAN @SamES? I've heard some rumors that it might be something to do with a certificate on LG TVs, but since it works from the build-in browser, it can't be the default cert.

Just be aware that the browser and apps may use a different root certificate set.  Does your TV have the latest firmware?
