Tzutzu 4
Hello. Need some help, please! This is third time in aprox. 2 weeks when I find Emby server shot down. I was away for a few days and, today, I found it shot down again. I had to start it from DSMs Package center app interface. I didn't change a thing on server since I don't remember when! At least one year! I'm running 4.7.11.0 on DSM 6.2.4-25556 on a DS218+. I didn't had any problems with it since 2-3 weeks, maybe one month, ago when I found it shot down for the first time. Any advice? Thank you! embyserver.txt
Tzutzu 4
Found an older post in which Happy2Play asks for a log with debug logging enabled. Here it is. After server restart. Thank you. embyserver(1).txt

Provide penultimate log (embyserver-xxxxxxxx) entry, before server restart, as that log might show whether it was an (un)graceful exit.
Tzutzu 4
Thank you! So, as in picture attached, I restarted the server today at 6.18 PM. Penultimate log is at 12.25AM (i.e. #63820894703). Here it is the one before, yesterday at 11.53PM (i.e.#63820828800). Maybe you can find something. As I said before this never happened to me before. And yes I've checked all the issues related to 2023-05-25 Security advisory vulnerability. All clear. Thank you. embyserver-63820894703.txt embyserver-63820828800.txt
Luke 37095
As a test, can you try disabling the server's automatic port mapping feature in emby server network settings, then restart the server and see how things compare? Please note that disabling this feature may require you to manually configure port forwarding in your router for remote access.

Tzutzu 4
Yes, sure Luke! thank you for follow-up! I thought to let it run for a couple days/a week or two to see what's happening and get back here. So far so good! I disabled server's automatic port mapping as you suggested. In addition I uninstalled a couple of plugins that I never used (which were installed 4-5 years ago, as a test, when I first put Emby on Synology). Everything ok to date. Keep U posted. Thank you again!

Luke 37095
The 4.7 server does have an issue scanning certain photo files. Workaround for now until the 4.8 server is released would be to remove them from your Emby libraries.
