Hi, luke,

The subtitle downloading cannot work COMPLETELY for two days, and it failed to install plugin:

SubDB and podnapisi.net

Any advise?  Thanks in advance

@BD5BDBall of your outgoing communications to metadata providers and subtitles websites are timing out and failing. Looks like you have something blocking the connections.

Typical causes of this are firewall, security software, or VPN. Do you have any of those?

Yes, the synology is behind the VPN (OpenClash on the Openwrt).  Should I set it DIRECT for some domain name in the OpenClash rule?

Same response as in your other thread, you have many external connecting timing out presumably because they are blocked by your VPN or firewall

Cancelling connection to https://api.opensubtitles.org/xml-rpc due to a previous timeout.

Allow Emby access to external providers and it's likely your services will work again. Try testing by temporarily disabling your VPN to see.

the VPN has disabled now.

Does it need to reboot the emby server?

Shouldn't need to, but wouldn't hurt 🙂

Can you try disabling that and see how that compares?

这几部新加的电影可以识别,但是不会出现中文片名(有几个图片是我手工搜索获取的,画质非常低),其中《终结者》无法出现在合集中
these newly added movie can be recognized, but cannot show the Chinese title.  Some posters were mannually searched (only show one picture, and the resolution is very low).  The "TERMINATOIR" series cannot be created.

All outgoing requests are still timing out and failing. You're going to have to find out what's blocking your connections to MovieDb, Tvdb, etc.

  • Recovery the VPN for the Synology hosted with Emby server
  • Remove the plugin: Trailor and xmlTV
which I thought that after anding Trailor may cause flood of the images and some data else requesting make the system blocked that my old hardware and VPN cannot burden last night
  • Reboot Emby server

then tried subtitles, found it works now.

keep observing....

Is the opensubtitle = opensubtitles.org or opensubtitles.com?

If org, there is CHPTA HUMAN check when login, is that the reason to cause the block of the request?

Requests are be made via an API so that login method will not be involved. Auth is handled automatically by Emby.

After uninstall 'Trailor' pluygin, and reinstall 'Opensubtitles' plugin, it works OK till now for images scabbing and subtitles downloading so far.

Hi, you've reached your daily request limit with OpenSubtitles. They only allow 100 requests per day, unless you are an OpenSubtitles VIP member.

OK, It seems like that I put too much old movie and TV into the library and try the manually operation at the same time last week.  Tons of thanks!
