Movies Only Play 10-12secs Then Loop

Hi folks,

Not sure where to go with this one...

To start with, Emby in the browser seems to play the problematic movies totally fine. As does Emby for Android on my rooted Samsung Galaxy S7 (SM-G930F). However, Emby for Android on my nVidia ShieldTV Pro, which is also rooted and running 8.2.3(32.6.518.0), does not. For clarification, Emby runs, but Emby will not play certain movies, specifically, some (not all) Blu-ray movies. And when I say Blu-ray movies, I mean Blu-ray movies ripped using MakeMKV to MKV files which are then stored on my Synology DS1815+.

Emby Server is 4.7.11.0
and
Emby for Android is 2.0.83g

What have I tried?

Well, I've uninstalled Emby Server from my DS1815+ running DSM 6.2.4-25556 Update 7, WinSCP'd in and deleted anything (and I'm pretty sure everything) leftover and then re-installed and let everything re-build all over again. I also removed cache >> deleted data >> uninstalled >> re-installed Emby for Android on my nVidia ShieldTV Pro, but, no change!

DVD rips seem to not have any issues (also ripped with MakeMKV). Neither do TV shows.

Nothing useful is coming up in the logs - but then maybe I'm looking in the wrong place or at the wrong thing !? !? For example, normal logging of a movie that won't play...

I'm pretty sure it's not the file itself, as I can play it over the network or copy it to my PC using 'Media Player Classic'. Plus as I mentioned above, it plays fine via Emby in the browser and on my phone.

Apologies for the late reply, ended up needing to go out yesterday arvo and then didn't get back until late.

And now, well, don't I fell like a numpty!

That did the trick  

I did originally uninstall / reinstall the app on the ShieldTV, but obviously, did so via the Play Store.
So is the APK direct from the website different somehow is it?
I didn't even realise the APK was there    Oh well, I'll add that to my bag of tricks for troubleshooting next time.
