Server drops out after a few hours

Hello.

I just moved over from Plex thinking that emby maybe the better option but I am beginning to doubt that I made the right choice.

Here's my problem. The server works fine for a short time. Then it drops. I'm using the server on a "MYcloud EX2 Ultra" server. And am accessing the content through a amazon fire cube.

Reading some of the comments on here suggested uninstalling the Port Mapping plugin I have done so.

The only way I can get back to the server is to go on my Mycloud dashboard and stop and restart the app.

My Router is a Virgin router.

Sorry for the sheer amount of log files I did know what you needed to look at

Any help anyone can give would be most welcome.

Regards

Jonathan

Hi, a couple ideas that might help:

  • Disable all dlna features if you're not using them
  • Turn off the realtime monitor for each of your emby libraries

Please try this, then restart the server and let us know how things compare. Thanks.

Hi, these logs are short and only from starting up the server. Are you sure this is from when the problem occurred? I'm guessing these logs are from when you started back up again after it happened, so please provide the preceding log files. Thanks.

HI Luke

If you look at my Previous post they are all there from the start.

I understand, but I'd like to see a new one based on the changes that I requested. Thanks !

Hi Luke

This is getting weird, I noticed that the IP address used when I went into the dashboard via the nas was different to the one on the Emby dashboard so I tried that and it seams to work.

192.168.0.88:8096 nas dashboard

http://192.168.0.12:8096 - IP address on the emby dashboard

If its working like this how long can I trust it to stay stable ?

So as i said last night i've attached all the logs produced since my changes.

Hi, based on the errors I see in these log files I would suggest rebooting the NAS.

Hi Luke.

I did for I time. Till I Pressed the “nuclear button” and reset both my router and nas to factory defaults.

This seams to have cleared the issue.

Thanks for your suggestions though. I have incorporated them into my new set up as well as disabling the subtitles.

Regards

Jonathan
