Playback Error No compatible streams are currently available.

Good Afternoon,

I'm encountering some problems with my Emby server that seem to line up with me updating to version 4.7.11.0.

My server is run through my nvidia shield pro, and my media is stored on my QNAP nas.  I can access and play all the files from my QNAP directly, but when I try to play something through Emby off my macbook I get the "Playback error no compatible streams available" message that has been referenced in this thread, and when I try to play something off of my Amazon Firestick, or the Nvidia Shield Pro, the blue circle spins for a while, and then says "too many errors, giving up".

 

Any ideas on how to resolve this?  I'm an incredibly novice user so please forgive my ignorance.
