crusher11 854
At the start of playback, the rating pops up in the top left. "Rated G", "Rated PG", etc. If a film is rated "NR", it displays "Rated NR". Would it not make more sense, in this circumstance, to either a) display nothing or b) display "Not Rated"? If an item has that designation it is usually an "Unrated" release of some movie which used to be common in the early days of DVDs where a movie would be released on DVD inserting a few deleted scenes that would've caused the official movie to have to raise its rating (usually from PG-13 to R). Items that are truly "not rated" will just have no rating information and, thus, nothing will show. 3 hours ago, crusher11 said: b) display "Not Rated" Perhaps but the system is just showing the rating. It isn't currently interrogating it and trying to make any sort of decisions based on its value.

TMDB doesn't have different database entries for different cuts, nor does Emby support separately editing metadata for different versions. Many, many films are on my server as "NR" that predate the ratings system entirely. 7 minutes ago, ebr said: It isn't currently interrogating it and trying to make any sort of decisions based on its value. Well, yes, and I'm saying in this circumstance it ought to behave differently.
