FireTV Cube Gen 3 freezing during playback but Plex fine

Hi,

I recently bought a FireCube 3rd Gen and have generally been impressed with it so far, after using Emby on Roku sticks and a Roku steambar without issue for years. 

However, I'm noticing repeated freezing of films through Emby on the FC but when trying them on Plex, they play perfectly all the time. 
I've side loaded the Android (non TV version) of Emby too and that's been better but still with repeated freezing. 
The freezing doesn't happen at the same point in the files in question, and are playing off a Synology DS218+ which plays the same content upstairs on the Roku streambar.

I've not had to troubleshoot an issue like this so any advice would be great as to a starting point please.

Here's the file. The film that was playing was "Luck" which did the freezing and then unfreezing as mentioned above.

Sorry, should have mentioned that I did already try that and whilst it's a little better the same thing happens, just less frequently.

It's just happened again watching the Gruffalo's Child on the Android app side loaded on the Cube.

Ever since Amazon pushed out an update to my two FireTV sticks last week have the same problem of random freezes for about 10-15 seconds. This occurs using the FireTV app and the Standard Android app.

Yes, but only when using FireTV 4K sticks that are running the latest 6.x FireTV O/S. If I use a FireTV stick Lite or a 4K Max stick using FireTV 7.x it's fine.
