So I was checking Emby-server logs and noticed the following:

2023-04-09 08:02:09.982 Info App: Removing item from database, Type: Episode, Name: Part Eight, Path: , Id: 181430
2023-04-09 08:02:10.001 Info App: Deleting path /var/db/emby-server/metadata/library/3c/3c27eb970667379731fc65a551d47a3d

It's saying something was removed from the database.  I haven't deleted any files in a long time and the description is somewhat vague.  I tried looking up the ID but didn't have much success.

Any ideas what was being removed?

Well, if it's removed you cannot find that ID anymore. It's an episode titled Part Eight from an unknown show. If you batch added that season/series, you might look at adjacent IDs to deduce which series it is. Also, does your log show same episode re-added? If you search for "Part Eight", does any item returned have today's date as Date Added? Since your log entry doesn't list path property, I'd guess it was removed from your filesystem/underlying OS, causing its removal from Emby db.

That’s either a missing or unaired episode that’s not needed anymore.

It would be nice to know what it was.  I know I can't find it now but is there a change I can make to the logging that will cause more to show up in the logs next time it happens?

Thanks

More of the log would/should explain more.

Example added episode and virtual upcoming episode deleted.

So your example would mean you added "Part Eight" to a Show.  As wild guess would be "Star Trek: Picard S03E08 - Part Eight"

I don't have season 3 of Picard yet.  Just seasons 1 and 2.  I've enabled debug logging to see if that will provide more information.

Thanks
