Does anyone know how to delete Genre Cleaner plugin completely ?

i want to start over with genres.

Deinstalled the plugin rebooted, installed again and did a 2nd reboot.

Sadly all my mappings are back. And I cant scan genres from library again.

Remove the plugin via UI or delete the dll in Emby program data/plugins folder, then go to the /plugins/configurations folder and delete the GenreCleaner.xml.

If you have save XML or save NFO set  in library settings then it'll save with your media and emby will reimport your genres from them as they will have the genres in them.  If so you will need to remove or rename these too.

I'm guessing that's what you have, probably not really a genre cleaner plugin issue.

Just ensure that if you have custom metadata added that you use missing metadata rather than replace, or it'll delete that which you curated so carefully!

Just had a similar problem with collections regenerating.

On windows you can go file explorer, search *.NFO and delete them all at once.

Don't worry they will regenerate without the genres from your database when you rescan your library/refresh metadata.
