Issues playing to Arylic Up2Stream boards.

I have been aware of this thread about yamaha speakers and dlna playback, it feels like a very similar issue from the symptoms but I'm not sure.

 

I am using the Arylic Up2Stream v3 PRO boards, as players.

When I play to them in emby, the first track of the track(s) I try to play does start, however there are no playback controls, volume controls, playlist controls etc. This is what the remote control panel looks like for the enabled device:

Does anyone have any insight into these boards specifically? Should the 4.8 update fix this issue?

Hi Luke, my mistake! 

After a fresh reboot of Emby and the problem dlna player device, Emby idles for a bit until the discovery message goes out, and the DLNA session is created. These lines appear in the log when that happens:

Then in the Emby front end, I connect to that device, seemingly successfully. No new log entries.

Once I play a song, and I hear the audio start on the speaker, I find these new DLNA related events in the log:

I might add incase the context is useful, I did try dlna playback via jellyfin, same behavior, I also tried using a totally different scenario playing music from spotify, one of the services they advertise they support on their website, and so far that is the only platform that seems to stream correctly to it.

Sure thing, there's a lot of filler that you can likely ignore, a couple of LG tv's in the house that create a lot of chatter.

The emby address is 192.168.1.2, and arylic #2 address which is the device in question, is 192.168.1.233. Hope this helps and thank you!

Ok if you’d like to try the beta server there are some dlna improvements there. Just make sure to browse the testing area of the community first to get a feel for the open issues. Thanks.

I tried the 4.8.0.29 beta on Unraid, and the casting works to the Arylic boards! Thank you. I have a feeling this issue is one and the same as the yamaha speaker thread.
Any rough timeline for the 4.8 official release? I may start testing it out anyways along side 4.7.
