Recording problem through xTeVe with no apparent errors.

Hi,

 

I have to use xTeVe to stream from my IPTV provider, because I need to use a VPN since my ISP is actively blocking some streaming servers during some events that they have financial incentive in. I said enough I won't say more or this post is going to be very long.

xTeVe is you don't know emulate de HD Home Run and it works very good. I have it installed in a VPS and my network is connected to the VPS with a wireguard tunnel.

I can listen to a live feed for a very, very long time without any issue, but ben I record, it almost never record the hwole thing.

On the xTeve side I see "Client has terminated the connection" hinting that Emby choose to stop recording.

In emby log all I see is (I cleaned the log a lot I had a lot of activity that night on 3 or 4 clients and the log is very verbose.

When Emby decided that the show was over 22h00 (only 2 minutes of recording only, the show should have recorded 1h07 (2 min before and 5 after)

Is there a way to have a separate log for recordings in Emby instead of burrying this in the general log? A debug mode for recording would also be appreciated.

I modifed the log to hide personal stuff like host names and ip addresses and the name of my cellphone. It would be a good thing if we cloud send logs so only admin like you could download them once uploaded.

At different times the tuner does return unavailable errors. Is this when the problem occurred?

I will try to create a more usefull log, I have enabled verbose logging in xTeVe, so ffmpeg restreaming of xTeVe might give us more detail on what is happening.

Hi, it's all part of the server log, but we do plan to have a recording history function in future updates. For now though you'll have to review the main server log. Are you still running into this?

I'm still experiencing the same problem. I'm trying to catch it early so that I can track back the log in xTeVe. However, I believe that the verbose log in xTeVe overwrites the log that I can only see in the web UI. I'll need to double-check to be sure.
