Double tap skip not working

I have been using double tapping the side to skip ahead but this doesn’t seem to be working anymore with 2.2.7. Has something changed and I should enable it somewhere, or is it a bug?

Not the appropriate topic but somehow similar.

Same is valid for Emby for Android, double tap for skipping hasn't been working for a couple of versions now.

Hi, we'll take a look at it. Thanks for reporting.

Hey! I want to report that Double tap still doesn't work in Emby Android version 3.3.56 and 3.3.58. Thanks.

HI, yes, we'll have to look at how to work this back in. Thanks.

In the meantime, can there be just the regular 10 sec skip forward/back buttons for music playback? There are for podcasts/audiobooks, but when playing music files those buttons are missing. Only way to move around in a song is to scrub the progress bar which is not ideal

HI, why isn't the progress bar ideal?

Not saying a progress bar itself isn’t ideal, I thought this thread was about the skip forward/back capability, which isn’t present on iOS Emby music player. Currently to skim forward/back on a music track, you have scrub a tiny progress bar. In other Emby libraries, there is an actual “10 sec forward/back” button. It’s even there in podcast playback (and I think every other library. Movies, etc.), just not for music

It's pretty tall vertically though, no? Is it really tiny?

Tall or not it simply does not replace a 10 second skip in a 2 hours movie.
I think we can agree that skipping small amount of time is at least tricky using the progress bar.

Besides, this double tap feature was already available (at least in Android) at some point and taken away for whatever reason.
Really interesting question would be, why did you take it away in the first place?
I assume there was a reason for that, really interested to know.

FWIW, on YouTube I use it all the time...

Actually, Luke is replying for 10 second skip in music playback.

Double tap to skip without bringing video osd is really a nice feature. I am also wondering why they removed it.

The progress bar is beside the point, I shouldn’t have even mentioned it. It could be supersized but doesn’t change the fact that skip buttons are missing
