Tizi1906 2 Posted March 7, 2023 Share Posted March 7, 2023 Howdy all, im having issues with accessing remote server... my setup: modem internet ip 123.456.789.0 - wan ip 192.168.1.x - wifi router ip 192.168.2.x if i type internet ip 123.456.789.0 in address bar i get my modem if i type internet ip 123.456.789.0:8096 in address bar i get page not found my question does the problem lie within 2 different subnets ? as you are able to see i played with different ports any suggestions would be grateful... Are both your modem and your WiFi router acting as a DHCP servers? well after 6 + hours last evening to no avail, this morning i checked cabling only to find from the modem i connected to port 4 instead of port 1, connected wan port to router, waited for isp dhcp to release 30min later we are up and running.
