Howdy all,

im having issues with accessing remote server...

my setup: modem internet ip 123.456.789.0 - wan ip 192.168.1.x - wifi router ip 192.168.2.x

OperaSnapshot_2023-03-07_111402_192_168.2.x.png.aebcbe03192a3e907e9216b2c92636d9.png

if i type internet ip 123.456.789.0 in address bar i get my modem

if i type internet ip 123.456.789.0:8096 in address bar i get page not found

my question does the problem lie within 2 different subnets ?

as you are able to see i played with different ports

any suggestions would be grateful...

Do you have double NAT there? Are both your modem and your WiFi router acting as a DHCP servers?

OK, and what is your WiFi router IP on 1.x subnet? Which ports are you forwarding from modem to router?

wifi router ip 192.168.2.x different subnet, port forwarding is done only on the wifi via Upnp

Sorry, I'm having trouble following your setup: which devices are on 1.x subnet?

Do your ports show open on a site like canyouseeme.org?

Is your ISP possibly using CGNAT?

Reading this suggest a double nat setup and requires rules in both routers.  Also the forwarding shown above appears conflicting.

well after 6 + hours last evening to no avail, this morning i checked cabling only to find from the modem i connected to port 4 instead of port 1,  connected wan port to router, waited for isp dhcp to release 30min later we are up and running.

Thanks to all
