Carlo 4330 Posted February 27, 2023 Share Posted February 27, 2023 I'm not sure I fully understand what has and hasn't been done. When you installed the server on Synology as part of the setup you create the first account which is an admin account and will have a password you also entered during setup. Some of your pictures look as though you are trying to create a user named "emby" (without quotes) on DSM. You can't do this! When you install Emby Server on Synology the setup will create a special user on DSM named "emby" (without quotes) that is a "system internal user". This is not a username you can use as a general purpose account but is used for permission control (ie give Ember Server access to specific Media folders). Best practice is not to create a user "emby" unless specifically told to do so. That goes for the OS as well as Emby Server itself. When creating the first user in Emby use something unique and not easily guessed. Resist easy to guess usernames like emby, admin, root, guest, media as those would be easy targets if you were ever hacked. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

K1ng_Lear 185 Posted March 2, 2023 Share Posted March 2, 2023 Bitte korrigier mich, aber für mich sieht es wie folgt aus. 1. Das ist Deine erste Installation von Emby auf dieser Syno. 2. Du selbst hast noch keinen eigenen Emby Server wo anders laufen. 3. Du versuchts mit dem Syno Emby user dich am Server anzumelden. Hab ich das so richtig verstanden? Falls ja, helfen Dir vielleicht folgende Tips. Bei der Erstinstallation müsstest Du Dich normalerweise gar nicht einloggen müssen. Ich glaube Du versuchst den Emby user, welcher auf der Snyo erstellt wurde, zu benutzen um dich am Server anzumelden. Das wird, wie Du sicherlich gemerkt hast, nicht funktionieren. Dieser Emby Nutzer hat kein Passwort und kann auch nicht für ein Login auf der Syno benutzt werden. Er wird nur für die Rechteverwaltung auf der Syno selbst benötigt. Du solltest also, nach einer komplett frischen Installation und dem Aufrufen Emby Website einen Startscreen sehen der Dich durch die Einrichtung leitet. Erst im Laufe dieser Einrichtung wird ein Nutzer vergeben oder Du verknüpfst Deinen Server mit Deinem Account hier im Forum. Falls ich Dein Problem falsch verstanden haben sollt, sorry.
