Latest version of the MacOS app won't start

hi 

just updated to the latest version (2.1.9) via the Mac App store, and now the app won't even open.

it hangs on the Emby logo.

I'm running macOS Catalina (10.5.7) still on this 2012 iMac.

I wanted to reset the Application Support files, but i can't find them. Does anybody know where the macOS app stores it's preferences? I can't find them under "~/Library/Application Support"

I have this exact behaviour as well. I am on macos 10.15.17 (catalina) and emby theater version 2.1.9 (tried both the app store and downloaded versions)
