e-charge 6
Morning all. I just wondered if anyone has any experience with Sat>IP receivers/tuners, and how well they work. I've recently intriduced a HDHomeRun to my setup and it works flawlessly. I'd now like to lose the two Hauppauge PCIE DVB-S cards currently in my system, and move to something similar to the HDHR, allowing me to move my setup to a micro PC. I've spotted a few devices online which look like they do the job, but I'm curious as to how they integrate with Emby. There are only a few channels which I'm actually interested in obtaining via DVB-S, so am happy to add them to my Emby lineup via M3U, if it's actually as simple as that. My main concern is how I obtain those M3U addresses/links. Will I just be able to obtain them via a web-config of some sort on those devices, or will I need something third-party, in-between, like TVHeadEnd or something, to do the job for me? Any advice appreciated. Thanks in advance. L
Luke 37093
Hi, you might have to use something like TVHeadEnd in the middle unless the tuner has it's own m3u output feature.
emveepee 112
NextPVR has SAT>IP support if you want a Windows server. SAT>IP is must for TVnext though. Martin
