Just can't get subtitles to work. Tried everything

I'm new to Emby. I've followed all the instructions.
But just can't get the subtitles to show when I play Emmy on my ATV4K. 
Please help get this sorted and I can't wait to get premium features. Thanks.

How, how exactly did you install Emby on macOS? When you start the server, how do you start it?
